Meet Dr. Elise Bugenske

Meet Dr. Elise Bugenske, an optometrist who graduated from Indiana University School of Optometry in 2014. Originally from Michigan, she enjoys summer trips to visit family there. Alongside her hobbies of gardening, crafts, history, and traveling, Dr. B cherishes time spent with her nieces, Alexa and Elodie. Her furry companions, Teddy, Archie, and Tiger, bring her joy as well.

Dr. B’s passion lies in treating various eye issues, with a particular interest in glaucoma and retinal diseases. She joined Family Eye Clinic in early 2020 and assumed leadership after Dr. Mike’s retirement in late 2022.

As an optometrist, Dr. B aims to create a compassionate, informative environment where patients can freely ask questions about their health. Her mother, a cardiologist, greatly influenced her philosophy, emphasizing the value of attentive listening. With her personal experiences as someone who is nearsighted and has undergone multiple eye procedures, Dr. B brings a unique perspective to eyecare, enabling her to empathize with many patient conditions.

Dr. Bugenske is great, reception is amazing, and they kept a steady, organized flow the entire time we were there. The office is quite nice and quiet. There is a flat screen on the wall for you to watch or keep little ones entertained. The waiting area is kept very neat and minimalist. I definitely recommend Family Eye Clinic in the Townlake Business Park.

This place is great. I always get in within 5 minutes of arrival and the staff is very knowledgeable and caring. And, they explain the procedures and results of our eye exam thoroughly. Me and my son both get our exams and glasses here. Highly recommend.

Dr. Bugenske is incredible. She was warm, kind, and very inviting. The receptionists were also kind, understanding when it took me a bit to pick out glasses, and had a great sense of humor. I appreciate the staffs efficiency and communication.

This is my 2nd time visiting Family Eye Clinic…the first was with my daughter and I was so impressed, I decided to visit them for my own needs. The staff and doctor Elise Bugenske are all very nice, patient and very receptive. I would encourage anyone who is looking for a family eye doctor to chose Family Eye Clinic!
